Our client is looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join the team located in Napier. The successful applicant will be at or near the first-class welder stage and either hold current NZ welding certification (structural or ASME) or be willing to undergo certification. This permanent, full-time position guarantees a minimum of 30 hours weekly with a competitive pay rate of $35-$40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 30 months relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work from blueprints and fabricate metal components 
  • Can ensure all welding and fabricating is to NZ certified standard for structural and transport engineering
  • Can carry out preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure all plant and equipment are available for maximum and efficient production for customers, as required
  • Can weld materials as required with various welding techniques, as well as bolting and riveting
  • Flexibility and basic machining skills are highly advantageous

Work Conditions:

  • Standard work week is between 30 to 40 hours across 5 days (Monday to Friday)
  • Overtime may be required, including Saturday and Sunday work
  • Participation in rostered callout contracts is required
  • Onsite maintenance and installation work in the other provinces within NZ will require some travel
  • Uniform and safety equipment will be provided
