About the role

Are you passionate about cars? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by targets and motivated by success? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to be Automotive Technician/Mechanic in our team.

Tasks include:

·         Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately;

·         Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and update;

·         Perform hybrid battery diagnostics, servicing, and replacement;

·         Repair mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles and replace parts when required;

·         Utilise diagnostic tools and scanning equipment to identify faults and performance issues.

·         Conduct routine maintenance and general mechanical work as needed to ensure road worthiness and longevity;

·         Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards at the workshop;

·         Provide high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service;

·         Contribute to weekly "toolbox meetings" and company policies and procedures.



To be successful in this position, our ideal candidate will have:

·         Relevant qualification (Level 4 qualification in Automotive Engineering or above); or at least three year of relevant experience as automotive technician/mechanic.

·         Must have a full clean New Zealand driver’s licence

·         Experience with hybrid vehicle and batteries diagnostics.

·         Flexibility to work all shifts including weekends and public holidays (as may be required)

Hours of work:  

45 hours per week (30 hours guaranteed), from Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm. An employee may be required to work on weekend and up to 52 hours per week.
