Salary Range: $29.66 – $30.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent role
Hours of Work: Monday to Saturday - at least 30 hours per week, not more than 60 hours per week
What you'll need to succeed:

- 2 years of work experience is required, OR
- Have Level 4 or above qualification in Automotive Engineering
The role will include, but not be limited to:
- In charge or assist in detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.
- In charge or assist in dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and checking parts.
- In charge or assist in repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
- In charge or assist in removing, and replacing damaged panels and parts, by using tools, such as mechanical and hydraulic equipment etc...
- In charge or assist in repairing panels by filling depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding, and sanding repaired surfaces, refitting the body hardware after repaired if necessary.
- In charge or assist in cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment
- In charge or assist in Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
- In charge or assist in Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
- In charge or assist in Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
- In charge or assist in Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.
- In charge or assist in colour matching and mixing paints, painting vehicles by using spray guns/other equipment, waxing, and polishing finished paintwork.
- May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.
- May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.
