We are currently seeking skilled and reliable Construction Workers with experience in light steel frame construction to join our team and help us meet the deadlines for completing our high-quality projects.

This recruitment is for a specific period related to our current and future projects, with employment running from May 2025 to December 2027.

 

The major projects include:

●       13 Newington Road, Henderson, Waitakere City: 11 terraced townhouse units.

●       147 Boundary Road, Clover Park: 7 standalone residential houses.

●       287 Manukau Road, Epsom: 30 apartment units (commercial-zoned development).

●       18 Wallington Avenue, Remuera: 5 standalone residential houses.

●       1 Lauchlan Avenue, Epsom: 8 standalone homes (in early planning stages, with construction expected to begin next year).

●       59 & 61 Ascot Avenue, Remuera: A combined total of 6 standalone houses (in early planning stages, with construction expected to begin next year).

  

Key Responsibilities

●       Assist senior carpenter in assembling and installing light steel framing components, including walls, roofs, and floors, following detailed building plans and specifications. 

●       Ensure the precise placement and alignment of steel framing to ensure structural integrity, safety, and compliance with building codes.

●       Help in the erection and dismantling of temporary structures such as scaffolding, barricades, and other safety-related equipment to support construction activities.

●        mixing, pouring and spreading materials such as concrete, plaster and mortar

●        spreading and levelling soil, gravel and sand on roads and driveways, trench bottoms and similar locations

●        assisting with assembling and installing piping, valves and fittings

●        assisting with installing fixtures such as toilets, wash basins and sprinkler systems

●       Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment (including power tools, ladders, and scaffolding) to safely and efficiently complete construction tasks.

●       Perform routine checks, maintenance, and minor repairs on construction tools and equipment to ensure smooth workflow.

●       Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure smooth integration of systems into the structure.

●       Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including unloading, organizing, and securing materials, tools, and equipment.

●       Follow strict safety protocols and work closely with supervisors to uphold high-quality standards across all tasks.

●       Would be an advantage if you could assist and work collaboratively with painters to ensure a seamless handover of the completed framework for finishing touches.

 

Skills you will have:

●       1 year of experience in light steel frame construction projects.

●       Hands-on experience with light steel framing, including the installation and assembly of steel components.

●       Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

●       Physically fit and able to perform well in a demanding construction environment.

●       A team player with strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.

●       Mandarin language skills are highly advantageous.
