8 week contract available in City/West Auckland for top structural Fabricator Welder.
About the role:
We have a temporary contract available for an experienced and trade qualified Structural Steel Fabricator with excellent Mig & Arc welding ability.

The project will start early May and will run until early July. To be successful you will be required to undertake and pass our Client's Weld Test.

The role will involve:
  • Fabricate structural steel components in the workshop according to technical drawings and specifications
  • Carry out on-site steel installation including positioning, bolting, and welding structural elements
  • Perform MIG and ARC welding on beams, columns, and custom fabrications
  • Operate fabrication machinery such as presses, guillotines, and cutting torches
  • Assist with material handling, layout, and prepping steel for assembly
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures in both workshop and site environments
  • Work as part of a team to meet project timelines and quality standards
Skills + Experience:
For this role you will need:
  • To be willing to undertake our Client's Weld test
  • A Trade qualification in Fabrication, Welding, or related field 
  • Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and installation
  • Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Competent in MIG and ARC welding techniques (current tickets are preferred)
  • Comfortable working at heights and with site equipment such as scissor lifts or booms
  • Site Safe or ConstructSafe tickets are an advantage
