Scooter Mechanic

Flamingo is looking for two Scooter Mechanics to support our fleet operations by assembling, maintaining, and repairing electric scooters across New Zealand!

Position Details:

●      Location: Auckland

●      Hours: minimum 30 per week

●      Hourly Rate: NZD $33.56

You’ll play a hands-on role in keeping our electric scooter fleet safe, road-ready, and running smoothly—helping us deliver an eco-conscious, Carbon Neutral service to communities across Aotearoa.

Key Responsibilities:

●    Repair & Maintenance: Diagnose and repair scooters with mechanical or electrical issues

●      Assemble Scooters: Configure new scooters to manufacturer and company standards

●      Workshop Management: Maintain tools and a clean, safe work environment

●      Record Keeping: Log all repairs and maintenance tasks in our systems

●      Safety Checks: Perform post-repair testing and support H&S compliance

●      Support Operations: Help prepare and deploy scooters for daily service

Qualifications & Experience:

●    Previous experience in mechanical or electrical repair (scooters, bikes, small engines, or similar)

●      Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility

●      Comfortable working with tools and diagnostic equipment

●      Able to work independently and in a team setting

●      Full, clean Class 1 driver’s licence (preferred)

●      Forklift licence beneficial

●      Must pass drug testing and have a clean criminal record

●      Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings and late nights (4am–3:30am Rotating Shifts)
