Join our team in the greater Waikato and Bay of Plenty area.

 

We seek a physically fit candidate with Truck Driving and Traffic Management experience for a permanent role starting in April 2025.

The position involves: 

·      filling in for other truck drivers,

·      relocating trucks and/or equipment

·      setting up, supervising, and removing equipment to protect workers and the public,

·      directing traffic with stop/go signs and lights,

·      maintaining effective communication via radio and other means with staff and the public,

·      attention to vehicles and equipment used in the course of duties,

·      wearing PPE correctly

·      reporting any incidents or near misses in a timely fashion,

·      performing yard work, cleaning, and other duties as required.

 

Suitable candidates:

·      Must hold Class 2 and/or Class 4 NZ Drivers Licence

·      Must have clean driving record

·      Must hold current TMO warrant.

·      Must hold NCEA Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent, such as a High School Certificate)or higher. 

·      Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience.

·      Must be able physically able to bend, twist, crouch & lift comfortably without pain, step up and down confidently whilst maintaining 3 points of contact

What we can offer: 

  • Permanent, full-time role. Typical hours are 47.5 hours per week (9.5 hours per day). Minimum 37.5 hours per week. Additional hours may sometimes be offered up to 60 hours per week. All additional hours are paid at the standard hourly rate. 
  • Wage rate will be $71,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

 

Suitable candidates will be willing to undertake pre-employment drug testing, and random onsite drug and alcohol testing.

 

The Class 2 and/or Class 4 NZ Driver's Licence must be current.

Candidates must not have had any recent significant insurance claim.

Eventually, there may be a need to work long days and/or weekends.
