Job Title: Motor Mechanic

 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

·         Gathering information from customers about issues in their vehicles

·         Performing test drivers, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on the vehicles to identify the issues/faults in the vehicles and proposing a course of action

·         Providing customers with estimated time and cost for repairs

·         Provide quality customer service to customers

·         Completing preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as oil changes, replacing brakes etc

·         Performing scheduled maintenance services

·         Repairing and replacing the worn and defective parts

·         Repairing damage to the body of the vehicle and painting the vehicles exterior

·         Inspecting internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly

·         Work with other employees to diagnose and resolve vehicle problems

·         Use a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicle parts to fix vehicles

·         Maintain tools and equipment in good condition

·         Maintaining a clean working environment

·         Completing job reports and processing paperwork

·         Any other duties the employer may reasonably require the employee to perform

 

Pay rate: Minimum $26.00/ hour   Maximum $32.00/ hour

Guaranteed hours of work per week:  permanent, full time, minimum 30hrs per week

 

Requirements for the job:

·         At least two years of relevant work experience OR a relevant qualification at Level 4 or higher.

·         Always pay attention to details

·         Full time availability

·         No criminal record

·         Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
