Farm manager

We are looking for a wonderful experience Full-time permanent special farm manager to join our busy team. We offer the following:

·       Minimum 30 working hours per week but have to work up to 60 hours during peak season (from May to December) 

·       28 -30$ hourly rate depending on experience 

·       Location of work: office base in Richmond. However, you are required to work in different sites in the Tasman region to manage the team.

·       All traveling costs related to work will be covered by the company if the work is 50 km far away from the officer or if the work requires you to stay overnight.

You will conduct the following tasks:

·       Recruit permanent and seasonal staff

·       Train new staff and manage a team of up to 40 permanent and seasonal staff members.

·       Plan the roster work for all team members

.      Review and approve payrolls, managing invoices, bill payments

·       Daily Record and weekly report contract work done by all the team members

·       Managing and supervising team members to achieve the best performance

·       Complete all relevant weekly and monthly reports

·       Manage and Maintain farm infrastructure and weed control

·       Other management jobs from time to time when required by the Director

Requirements: 
- Passionate about Agriculture and farming
- Have at least NZQF level 4 or equivalent or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in management
- Must be flexible for travel to work and manage the team in different sites in the region
- Successful candidates must be able to manage a big team of up to 40 team members
- Must be able to work weekends in high season from May to December
