A great opportunity has risen for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Courier Driver. This is a Permanent Full-time position. You will support as a Driver in the collection, delivery of freight and mail from various locations. You will also liaise with the team and support them where required. Being customer-focused, you will provide an excellent level of customer service, building rapport, and relationships as you go.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles to avoid damages.
  • Following all safety, security, and operational procedures.
  • Providing excellent customer service by answering questions and handling complaints.
  • Maintaining communication with management regarding any changes to deliveries, routes, or schedules.
  • Reporting any obstructions or issues that affect timely and safe deliveries.
  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a clean, safe driving record.
  • Preparing and maintaining delivery reports and other related documents.
  • Keeping the company vehicle clean, fueled, well-maintained, and ready for daily use.
  • Supervising field crews during network activities, ensuring work is completed safely, reliably, and efficiently.
  • Driving team performance by assessing competence and identifying development needs.

Requirements:

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Full New Zealand Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Available to work from Monday to Sunday with flexible start and finish times (depending on daily mail volumes).
  • Good numeracy and reading skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions where practically possible — no excuses.
  • Physically fit and comfortable lifting up to 25kg daily.
