We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team and support our operations on residential sites.

Position Overview:
The Carpenter will be responsible for a range of carpentry tasks that facilitate and support earthmoving activities. This includes building retaining structures, boxing for foundations, trench supports, ramps, barriers, and other temporary works to assist diggers and heavy machinery on site. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, stability, and efficiency of our residential earthmoving projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct boxing and formwork for concrete pours, foundations, and footings.

  • Build retaining walls, site barriers, ramps, and temporary structures as required.

  • Install trench shields, edge protection, and access platforms to assist earthmoving machinery.

  • Interpret and work from site plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.

  • Conduct site measurements and prepare material estimations.

  • Liaise with site supervisors and machine operators to align carpentry work with excavation schedules.

  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and comply with all site safety practices.

Job Prerequisites:

  • At least 18 months of proven on-site experience in carpentry or construction.

  • Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.

  • Physical fitness to carry out manual tasks.

  • No criminal convictions and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
