As a Procurement Manager, you will oversees vehicle sourcing, supplier negotiations, inventory control, cost efficiency, compliance, and procurement strategies for Mr Motors Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize vehicle and parts acquisition at competitive prices.
Ø Identify and establish relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure high-quality stock availability.
Ø Negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring the best value, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
Ø Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with sales and distribution teams to ensure an efficient supply chain.
Ø Assess and analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and vehicle demand forecasts to adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
Ø Oversee the importation and compliance processes for vehicles sourced internationally, ensuring adherence to New Zealand’s automotive regulations.
Ø Manage procurement records, analyzing cost efficiencies and identifying areas for improvement.
Ø Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing and supplier contracts.
Ø Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets, forecast procurement expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Ø Develop strong supplier partnerships to enhance reliability, quality, and long-term cost efficiency.
Ø Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring effective supplier management and negotiation strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in supply chain, procurement management or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain role if you do not have relevant qualification, ideally within automotive, retail, or e-commerce sectors.
Strong understanding of supply distribution and procurement field.
Creative thinker with excellent communication and project management skills.
