Job Description:

Ivanka Limited is seeking reliable and experienced Commercial Cleaners to join our team in Christchurch. The role involves cleaning various commercial properties, including but not limited to the schools, kindercares, supermarkets, and offices. Given the nature of the job, candidates must be available for early morning and late-night shifts, including weekends.

Work Hours:

  • Shifts between 7:00 AM and 12:00 AM (midnight).
  • Morning shifts cover schools and kindercares (must finish before they open).
  • Late-night shifts involve cleaning supermarkets (after closing hours).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vacuuming carpets, curtains, and upholstered furniture.
  • Dusting, cleaning, and polishing furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Emptying rubbish bins and handling recyclable materials.
  • Floor maintenance – stripping wax, re-waxing, and polishing.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting laundry and bathroom fixtures, replenishing supplies, and reporting defective plumbing.
  • Operating industrial cleaning machines, including scrubbing machines and vacuum cleaners.
  • Removing dust and dirt from ceilings, walls, overhead pipes, and fixtures.
  • Applying solvents and acids for stain and dirt removal.
  • Cleaning exteriors of buildings by sand-blasting and applying solvents.

Requirements:

  • At least 06 months of relevant experience in commercial cleaning or qualification equivalent to NZ Register Level 1 or higher.
  • Ability to operate heavy-duty cleaning machines such as scrubbing machines.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Availability for weekend and late-night shifts.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
