Hourly rate: Minimum hourly rate is $28, Maximum hourly rate is $32
We are seeking skilled and reliable Carpenters to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Construction & Installation:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials using hand and power tools.
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim work, or cabinets.
- Build or repair cabinets, doors, and other wooden fixtures.
- Install and repair stairs, decks, and other outdoor structures.
- Install and repair interior and exterior trim, moldings, and paneling.
Repair & Maintenance:
- Inspect and repair damaged wooden structures.
- Replace damaged wood in hardwood floors and outdoor decks.
- Perform wood repairs and wood replacements (fascia, roof sheathing, patio cover/deck components, siding, trims, etc.).
General Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while on the job site.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to complete projects efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and nail guns.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of various woodworking techniques and joinery methods.
- Experience with different types of wood and materials.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably at least 1 year.
- OR Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Timber Formwork Certificate or carpentry apprenticeship completion).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and withstand varying weather conditions.
