Description

Looking for multiple experienced Welders who have a good attitude towards work and great references. You will be completing various welding and fabricating such as joinery, installing windows and doors or structural steel erection. The successful candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience or a NZ comparable level 4 welding/fabrication qualification.

About you:

The ideal candidate must be able to:

-          Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines.
-          Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.
-          Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
-          Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision.
-          Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions.
-          Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiseling and grinding          Sound English communication skills

The ideal candidate will also have:

-          Two contactable references

-          Able to pass a police check and drug test

About the role:

-          Minimum 30 hours of work per week

-          Hourly wage ranging from $27.50  - $35.00

-          Permanent role – Monday to Friday, with extra shifts available on weekends

-          We have opportunities across various locations in New Zealand. As part of your employment, you may be required to travel to a different region within New Zealand for different projects, including Auckland, Manawatū-Whanganui, Marlborough, Waikato, Wellington, Otago, Nelson, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Northland, West Coast, Bay of Plenty, Canterbury, Gisborne, Southland.

-          You will be given reasonable notice if you are required to relocate to another region. Franklin Smith will cover transportation and accommodation expenses related to the relocation.
