We are looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team located in Gisborne.

The role will provide service and repair of vehicles and equipment in a professional and competent manner. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment, including trucks and industrial engines.

The role requires expertise in diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and preventative to ensure optimal performance and safety.

To qualify for this role, the candidate needs to have:

  • At lease 3-year relevant work experience, or a diploma/certificate in diesel mechanics or similar
  • Strong commitment to health and safety in workplace with knowledge of health and safety legislations
  • Ability to read and interprete technical manuals and schematics
  • preferably with welding and fabriation experience, and with a forklift operator certificate
  • Strong problem solving and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
