We are currently seeking 2 Carpenter Assistants to join our construction team. This role is ideal for individuals with at least 1 year of carpentry experience who are eager to support qualified carpenters and foremen on a range of residential and commercial projects across the Auckland Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced carpenters and foremen with daily construction tasks

  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials under supervision

  • Help with framing, installing doors/windows, cladding, and roofing

  • Maintain job site cleanliness and safety

  • Operate and maintain basic tools and equipment

  • Load/unload materials and support site setup

  • Follow instructions and report directly to the site foreman

  • Travel between various job sites as needed

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant carpentry experience

  • Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn

  • Physically fit and capable of working in construction environments

  • Able to pass health and criminal background checks if required

  • Legally entitled to work in New Zealand and available for immediate start

  • Flexibility to work additional hours or Saturdays if needed

Pay Rate: $27 – $30 per hour (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent (minimum 30 hours/week guaranteed)
