We are currently looking for 2 skilled and experienced carpenters to join our growing team. If you take pride in quality workmanship and have a strong background in residential or commercial construction, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare the project layout and determine the required dimensions and materials.

  • Measure, cut, or shape timber, plastic laminates, fibreglass, and other materials.

  • Construct building frameworks, including but not limited to wall studs, floor joists, and door frames.

  • Assemble and fasten materials to make framework, using hand tools and wood screws, nails dowel pins, or glue. 

  • To nail fascia panels, sheathing roofs and ceiling batten, fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

  • Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.

  • May construct concrete formwork.

  • Work on top of stilts, ladders, scaffolds, top beams of buildings, etc.

  • Report to the project manager/ team leader and work as part of a team.

  • The employee may need to work at different sites within the Auckland Region

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of proven carpentry experience

  • Good understanding of construction methods and tools

  • Physically fit and capable of manual labour and working at heights

  • Must be able to pass health and criminal background checks if required

  • Available to work flexible hours, including Saturdays if needed

  • Must be eligible to work in New Zealand and available for immediate start

Pay Rate: $30 – $38 per hour (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent (minimum 30 hours/week guaranteed)
