GR SAINI TRANSPORT LIMITED is a trusted logistics partner with an active service agreement in Auckland Operating a fleet of 5 , we specialize in efficient, reliable container delivery services across designated routes. As we expand our operations and enhance service quality, we are seeking a dedicated Transport Manager to lead our growing team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Position Overview:
The Transport Manager will be responsible for overseeing operations, route planning, driver management, and compliance with container service expectations and transport regulations. This is a critical leadership role, focused on operational efficiency, safety, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate the day-to-day transport operations to ensure timely delivery and service efficiency.
Receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transportation schedules the dleivery of containers to the customer .Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports coordinating activities associated with the arrival and de-hire of containers.
Manage vehicle dispatch, routing, and scheduling based on service demand.
Monitor transport activities to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
Coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspection schedules.
Maintain transport and operational records including delivery reports, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Supervise, train, and manage drivers and transport staff.
Review operational procedures and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Hold a qualification at NZQF Level 4 or have a minimum of one year of full-time work experience in a transport management or logistics coordination role.

Excellent organisational and leadership skills.

Ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of drivers.

Class 1 NZ Drivers license.
- Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm . There is a weekend work available due to the operations.
Additional Notes:This position is offered under a full-time permanent arrangement. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand or eligible to apply for a visa under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) program.
