NUMBER OF POSITION: 3

The normal work hours for a week are 40 - 45, to be worked during the hours of 6AM to 6PM Monday to Friday and weekends when required. Sometimes our work will be affected by things that are out of control e.g., poor/unsafe weather conditions, so your start and finish times and days of work may vary as directed. In addition to the hours set above, you may also be required to work reasonable additional hours to meet the requirements of your role.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Ensures that all equipment is maintained and used appropriately in order to achieve maximum working life and high standards of safety
  • Constructs, erects, renovates orchard pergola structure and overhead netting
  • Measure, cut and shape wooden materials according to specifications
  • Maintain a clean and ordered site
  • Be a 'go to' helper

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • You need to have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working as a carpenter/general handyman/ or construction labourer.
  • Robust experience delivering valued work standards and understanding of
    business reporting.
  • This is a physical role and requires a good level of fitness (some heavy lifting involved)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in the use of power tools
  • Hard working and self-motivated
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
