Liquor Oasis is a locally owned liquor store in Auckland offering a wide range of wines, beers, spirits, and other beverages from local and international suppliers. We take pride in our excellent customer service and variety of products.

We are seeking a motivated Duty Manager for the store for a Permanent, Full-time (minimum 30 hours) position to manage daily operations, supervise staff, maintain store presentation, ensure compliance with licensing, health regulations and customer satisfaction. 

Duty Manager Job Details:

  • Location: Auckland, New Zealand
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week or more
  • Pay Rate: NZD $32.00 – $35.00 per hour

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily retail operations, including sales, inventory management, and the delivery of exceptional customer service.

  • Overseeing daily store operations and managing the team.

  • Monitor financial transactions, POS reconciliations, and sick Management.

  • Merchandising and maintaining store cleanliness.

  • Ensuring compliance with ID verification, health & safety, and licensing laws.

  • Liaising with suppliers and external stakeholders.

  • Ensuring excellent customer service and handling customer queries.

  • Supporting business goals and operational efficiency to achieve targets.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Strong managerial skills gained through either a business/managerial qualification - Diploma or Bachelors OR previous experience in a managerial or leadership role. 

  • LCQ Certificate and Manager’s Certificate are mandatory.

  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills

  • Physically fit and capable of moderate lifting

  • Honest, reliable, self-motivated, and proactive

  • Willingness to work on a roster, including evenings and weekends

  • Applicants must have no criminal convictions and must be able to pass police vetting checks

  • The store opens 7 days a week including evenings. 
  • Applicants must be willing to work on a weekly roster including evenings and weekeends.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have an LCQ and current Managers Certificate.
