CW Group Ltd is located at Wiri Auckland. We manufacture supply and install steel mounted fabric clad canopies all over New Zealand.  We  are looking for one( 1 ) Junior Fitter- Welder to join our team. 

Successful candidate will be expected to work at different sites nationwide, a minimum of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work and you may also be required to perform on Saturday. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be 28.85 nzd.

Job Description of this Junior Fitter- Welder position :

- Erects and dismantles structural steel frames of canopies on site located across New Zealand.

- Attached canopy accessories such as header rails guttering and end walls

- Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material method and sequence of operations and machine settings.

- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce Smart Shelter products.

- Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments.

- Setting guides stops and other controls on machining tools setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses.

- Forming Smart Shelter products using machining tools to press cut grind bore and drill metal.

- Operating Sectional Roller to form products.

- Operating sand blasting and metal spray machines.

- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:

  • Welding/ Fabricating experience for atleast 1 years. 
  • Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role
  • Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.
  • A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress.
  • Able to work with deadlines and schedules and available to work weekends if required.
