We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Communications & Stakeholder Manager to join the Higgins team in the Bay of Plenty region based at our Tauranga branch.
In this role you will lead stakeholder management, communications and community engagement for our project teams working on the delivery of capital projects and maintenance contracts within the region. You will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing strong relationships with our local communities and key stakeholder groups, allowing projects to achieve operational objectives.
This role is ideal for someone with strong connection to local communities or the desire to initiate, grow and maintain these connections.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Communications or Marketing
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within the Engineering and Construction area, developing clear strategies and plans to engage stakeholders of key project events
- Proven experience in marketing and communication, including brand management
- Strong background in relationship management and client services
- Be comfortable dealing with people, responding to issues and enquiries, and liaising with the wider stakeholder and construction teams
- Confidently initiate, grow and maintain effective working relationships, internally and externally
- Experience in providing guidance on PR and communications best practice
- Be well versed in conflict management and provide proactive innovative solutions.
This is a full time, permanent role working a minimum/maximum of 40 hours per week. Competitive salary on offer between $100-110k per annum.
