We are seeking our next Health & Safety Advisor to join our Finegand site in Balclutha, Otago.

Te Tūranga /About the Role:

Silver Fern Farms Finegand have an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about leading health and safety practice at our site. This is a permanent position based at our Finegand site in Balclutha, Otago.

Preferably you will have primary industry or food processing experience or have transferable experience from a hands-on role that means you will be comfortable in our factory environment. As an experienced Advisor, you will lead all facets of Health & Safety processes, including incident learning opportunities, risk assessments, administration of Health & Safety systems, overseeing H&S Reps, injury management oversight, education and reporting to site management.

You will be the main connection between corporate health and safety and the site. You’ll need to have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships to drive change.

Remunernation

  • We pay minimum of $100,000 to a maximum of $105,000 per annum
  • Minimum 40 hours per week

·       A passion for fostering a healthy and safe environment

·       Strong organisational and interpersonal skills

·       Ability to engage with people at all levels, to empower others and willingness to learn and develop personally

·       Proven ability in Continuous Improvement

·       Level 4 H&S certificate or diploma would be advantageous, or the desire to study towards a H&S related qualification and or 3 years relevant work experience.

·       Computer literacy - proficiency in the use of Microsoft (Word, Excel), databases and systems
