We are a well-established construction company specializing in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Our commitment to excellence has earned us a reputation for quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. As we continue to expand, we are looking for five skilled Glaziers to join our team and contribute to exciting new projects. This is a permanent full-time position, and you are required to work at least 30 hours per week between Monday to Saturday. 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install glass panels, windows, mirrors, shower enclosures, skylights, and storefronts.

• Secure glass using sealants, adhesives, weatherproofing materials, and metal fasteners.

• Replace broken or damaged glass in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

• Handle and install insulated, safety, tinted, and decorative glass.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine glass requirements.

• Cut, shape, drill, and polish glass and mirror surfaces as needed.

• Work with frameless and framed glass applications, including aluminum, steel, and wood-framed structures.

• Install custom glass designs for doors, partitions, and decorative elements.

• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.

• Ensure installations meet building codes, manufacturer guidelines, and customer expectations.

• Identify potential hazards and implement safe lifting and handling practices.

• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot installation challenges and ensure seamless project execution.

• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude while representing the company on job sites.

 

Qualifications & Skills

Qualification: Qualification or training certificate at relevant field compared to NZQA Level 4 OR

Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in the construction, manufacturing, or residential/commercial glass installation field

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with glass types, cutting techniques, sealing methods, and glazing tools.

Tools & Equipment: Proficiency with glass cutters, drills, grinders, suction cups, scaffolding, and lift equipment.

Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy glass panels, work at heights, and handle physically demanding tasks.

Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret architectural plans and technical drawings.

Attention to Detail: Strong precision and craftsmanship in measuring, cutting, and fitting glass accurately.

Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and ability to work under deadlines.
