Air Conditioning Technician – Auckland

Ari HVAC Design & Drafting Services Limited is based in Auckland and needs an experienced Air Conditioning Technician to install, service, repair and maintain commercial and residential HVAC systems throughout the Auckland Region.

 Hours of Work – 40 per week (30 hours per week guaranteed)

Job title: Air Conditioning Technician

Duties:

·  Installing mounting brackets and sheetmetal ducting; cutting, bending, and threading piping.

·  Installing and repairing compressors, motors, condensers, copper lines for gas, refrigerant, compressed air and oil.

·  Bolting, soldering, riveting, welding and brazing pipes to connect equipment.

·  Filling systems with gas or fluid to check for leaks.

·  Testing systems, checking mechanisms and making adjustments, if necessary.

·  Maintaining HVAC systems checking for faults, repairing and replacing defective components.

·  Adjusting controls and reassembling systems.

·  Communicating at all levels within the company, including suppliers, staff and customers.

·  Displaying strong initiative and problem-solving skills.

·  Working independently and as part of a team.

·  Adhering to the Employer’s Health & Safety policy and procedures when working in the workshop and on site.

Rate of Pay - $30 to $32 per hour, for normal hours and for overtime hours.

Required: minimum 3 years’ experience as Air Conditioning Technician.

Desirable: Trade certificate in HVAC (Air Conditioning or refrigeration), clean driver’s licence, Refrigerant Handling Licence, Site Safe Passport.
