Position Available: Team Supervisor

Number of Positions Available: 3
Location: Waikato Region
Payrate: $28.50 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 35
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 50

Key Requirements:
At least 1–2 years of any general experience irrespective of the industry he/she has worked in.
or
At least Level 3 or above relevant qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day horticultural operations.

  • Allocate tasks to team members and monitor performance.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and horticultural best practices.

  • Assist in training and mentoring new or seasonal workers.

  • Monitor plant health and report any issues to management.

  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and staff attendance.

  • Support the site manager in planning and delivering seasonal work targets.

  • Operate machinery and equipment safely when required.

  • Communicate instructions clearly to a multicultural workforce.

Position Available: Horticulture Leading Hand

Number of Positions Available: 2
Location: Waikato Region
Payrate: $32 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Key Requirements:
At least 2 years or more of relevant experience or general management and customer service.
or
At least Level 4 or above relevant qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate horticultural teams on-site to achieve productivity targets.

  • Supervise all horticulture related tasks.

  • Provide on-the-job training and ensure all work meets quality standards.

  • Monitor weather, soil, and crop conditions and adjust tasks accordingly.

  • Report daily progress to management and assist in workforce planning.

  • Maintain compliance with workplace health, safety, and biosecurity standards.

  • Operate and oversee the use of horticultural tools, machinery, and equipment.

  • Act as the communication link between ground staff and management.
