Panel Beater and Painter

We require the following:

• At least 2 years of experience in panel beating and vehicle painting is required.
• Must have a valid full driver’s licence
• Strong ability to assess and repair damaged vehicle panels and frames
• Experience with prepping, priming, and painting using spray booth equipment
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on workshop environment
• Trade qualification in automotive body repair or relevant experience
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends as required
• A pre-employment medical and drug test will be part of the recruitment process

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform panel preparation, including sanding, masking, and selecting paint colors.
• Apply primer, finishing coats, and touch-up paint using spray-guns.
• Conduct polishing and waxing of finished paintwork.
• Treat vehicle surfaces with rust-proofing chemicals.
• Remove damaged panels, parts, and upholstery for access.
• Repair dents using hammering and straighten damaged areas with equipment.
• Replace sections with new or second-hand panels as necessary.
• Use plastic filler and perform surface filing, grinding, and sanding.
