Carpenter – Full-Time

About the Role:
C&F CONSTRUCTION LIMITED is seeking a skilled and experienced permanent Carpenter to join our team in Wellington. This position involves a range of residential and light commercial construction tasks, including framing, joinery, finishing, and general carpentry.

This role requires a minimum of 32 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed

Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Renovate and do repair work on older houses.
• Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure smooth project flow.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard and on time
• Installing structures and fixtures such as kitchens windows doors cupboards moulding etc
• Operate power tools and follow safety procedures
• Install windows, doors and cavity sliding door
• Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
• Cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
• Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards
• Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
• Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
• Upgrade yourself regularly with new technology and techniques
• Observe all safety precautions and procedures, including the wearing of protective clothing and equipment
• Benefit to have other skills for small Job like painting, tiling, wooden flooring, landscaping etc.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience in carpentry or construction
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to handle tools and materials
• Be reliable and honest
• Basic math skills
