Auto Mechanic and Dismantler

Streamline Auto Solutions Ltd specialises in dismantling and repairing used cars. We require Auto Mechanics and Dismantlers to join the team. This role will be permanent and full-time job.

Your responsibilities include:

·         check faults in vehicles, and work out what is causing them

·         dismantle and rebuild, repair or replace engines, parts or systems

·         service vehicles and change lubricants (such as oil), coolants (such as radiator coolant) and filters

·         Record details of parts replaced and serviced and ensure vehicle is ready for WoF inspection

·         Disassemble motor vehicles and salvage usable parts

·         Remove hazardous materials such as fuel, oil and other chemicals

·         Sort and store parts in accordance with company policy

·         Record details of parts sold and stock levels

·         Liaise with customers and suppliers

The ideal applicant needs to:

·         Have at least 2-year work experience in the relevant occupation

• Full driver’s license
• Ability to complete basic paperwork when needed
• A dedication to Health & Safety in the workplace and understands and practices the principles of zero harm
• A proven track record in safety compliance
• Calm, professional temperament and a good work ethic
• Ability to pass a workplace medical exam including drug and alcohol testing
• You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand

Pay conditions:

Minimum $32 to Maximum $36 per hour

Hours of work:

Minimum 30 hours per week is guaranteed.

Location

You will be required to work in Lower Hutt City
