We Micromall Solar has been dedicated to the green energy sector, specifically focusing on solar energy business in New Zealand for years. We are looking for welder to join our team.

The tasks include the following:

  • Fabricating metal to acceptable tolerances
  • Ability to MIG, TIG, weld Stainless and Mild Steel
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Read and interpret technical drawings; welding symbols, plans, blueprints and sketches.
  • Position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or subunits by following layouts specifications using jigs, welding equipment and hand tools to ensure it meets measurements and specifications outlined in drawings
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
  • Assembling, installing and repairing steel components and systems according to specifications
  • Conduct routine maintenance of welding equipment
  • Ability to work independently

The desired candidate should have:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience as a welder OR a relevant level 4 qualification or above
  • Competence in various welding techniques
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices
  • Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on environment
  • Have an eye for detail and take pride in your work

We offer $30 - $35 per hour for suitable candidate, with minimum 30 hours’ work per week. If you feel like a fit for this role, please apply via the website.
