Ban Thai Massage is a local Thai Massage business in Taupo. We are looking for experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team.

Requirements 

  • At least 2 years of experience working in an authentic Thai Massage business, OR
  • A related qualification (at NZ Register Diploma level or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR
  • The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Job Descriptions

  • Greet clients warmly and foster a serene, respectful, and welcoming environment.

  • Deliver traditional Thai massage using techniques such as acupressure, assisted stretching, and energy line work to promote balance and well-being.

  • Apply targeted pressure and movements to encourage energy flow, reduce muscle tension, and improve flexibility.

  • Evaluate each client’s physical condition, concerns, and medical background to tailor treatments to their specific needs.

  • Provide advice on aftercare, including stretching routines and relaxation practices, to extend the benefits of the massage.

  • Incorporate supportive tools and therapies—like herbal compresses, essential oils, temperature treatments, and aromatherapy—to enhance healing.

  • Keep the treatment area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety guidelines.

  • Manage appointment schedules effectively to minimize client wait times.

  • Observe client reactions during sessions and modify techniques to ensure comfort and optimal results.

  • Invite client feedback to continually improve service quality and satisfaction.

  • Uphold a courteous, professional demeanor and demonstrate cultural sensitivity at all times.

Other detail 

  • This is a full-time and permanent position

  • Wage payment is between $27 and $30 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, and you will be paid weekly

  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

  • You will be working at 145 Spa Road, Taupa

  • You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
