Maintenance Engineer and Machinist

A fitter and turner with precision machining and maintenance experience is required to join the maintenance team at a modern sawmill based in Rolleston.

A suitable applicant will have;

• A minimum of Engineering Trade Certification or similar qualification with proven experience in a maintenance role.
• Excellent precision turning and milling skills to manufacture machine parts and equipment.
• Excellent welding and fabrication skills.
• Strong mechanical engineering, fitting technical skills.
• Excellent communication skills organised and tidy.

 The successful applicant will join a small engineering team responsible for maintaining a variety of processing machinery and equipment within the sawmill and timber processing departments. They will also provide technical input into engineering projects and activities.

This is a permanent fulltime position. A salary that reflects the important nature of this position will be offered to a suitable applicant.
