As a leading supplier and fabricator of quality made-to-order handcrafted surfaces, Pacific Stone measures, fabricates, and installs granite, marble, natural and engineered stone, along with porcelain products for kitchens, bathrooms, benchtops, laundries, sculleries, fire hearths, reception counters, outdoor areas, and a host of commercial spaces. They supply to building companies and cabinet makers throughout New Zealand and also sell directly to discerning business and home owners.
 
The Scheduling and Logistics Coordinator position is driven by Pacific Stone’s continued goals to optimise the links between Sales, Clients, Production, Accounts, and Installers. Based in Tauranga, you will assist the Production Manager in optimising the planning and scheduling processes around the North Island. You will be a key communication link between the teams, a confident user of Microsoft Office, and a whizz with Excel spreadsheets.  
 
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating the flow and movement of materials and scheduling installations. 
  • Work with planning and scheduling tools, processes, and systems.
  • Liaise with clients to schedule templating and installation resources.
  • Process production orders and coordinate stages of manufacture.
  • Reconcile job card details and prepare for factory release.
  • Support material ordering and monitor inventory levels.
  • Track and monitor progress, ensuring installations meet deadlines.
  • Highlight potential issues, communicate any production delays, and problem-solve for the best possible solutions.
  To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Relevant experience in a similar production, planning, and scheduling position within a trades / manufacturing / fabrication type of business.
  • High level of administration skills, especially in the use of MS Excel.
  • Experience with production planning programmes such as Moraware would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • The ability to think critically and conceptually, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise.
  • Must be fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is critical, as is an organised approach to your work, and a friendly and helpful attitude.
