Service Foods Wellington is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join our team.

In this pivotal role, you'll help uphold and enhance our operational standards—ensuring compliance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting excellence across the board. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Upper Hutt branch, with an immediate start available. Hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM.

The Role:

As the Quality & Compliance Coordinator, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring that our Wellington site meets the highest standards of food safety, quality, and workplace health and safety. You will monitor compliance requirements and collaborate closely with our operations teams to drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards, including the Service Foods national custom Food Control Plan, Service Foods Health and Safety policies, and other relevant procedures
  • Create site-specific quality and compliance documentation
  • Oversee daily returns and credits processes with drivers
  • Provide administrative support to the operations team
  • Lead or coordinate staff training
  • Identify and investigate areas for improvement through complaints analysis, audits, inspections, and stakeholder input
  • Develop and manage corrective action plans
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance compliance processes

About You:

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in a science, compliance, or related field
  • Experience in a compliance, food quality, or food safety role
  • Preferred experience in:
    • Food distribution or meat/produce manufacturing
    • Lean Manufacturing / Operational Excellence
    • Project management or Health & Safety practices

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • High attention to detail with solid time management
  • Strong computer and administrative abilities
  • Prior exposure to food service operations is advantageous
  • Integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential
