·       Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent

·       The minimum guaranteed hours of work per week: 35 hours

·       The maximum hours of work per week: 50 hours

·       Salary: $25–$30 per hour (depending on skills and experience)

Key Responsibilities

 Technical Support & Incident Management

o   Receive and respond to incident and help requests from the team

o   Track and resolve support tickets using a ticketing or project management system

o   Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or development teams as necessary

o   Generate reports on system uptime and incident logs, root cause analysis and recurring issues.

·        Cloud & Infrastructure Support

o   Assist team members or clients with accessing and using cloud-based platforms such as Heroku or Azure for business operations.

o   Monitor basic cloud service status and alert relevant teams in case of service degradation or outages.

o   Provide first-level support for cloud-related issues including login, connectivity, or user permissions.

·        Network & Security Support

o   Provide basic troubleshooting for user network connectivity issues (e.g., VPN, internet access, printer sharing).

o   Assist in implementing standard security measures, such as password resets, two-factor authentication setup, and antivirus updates.

o   Support the team in monitoring access controls and logging security-related user incidents.

·        Website and System Access Support

o  Provide support to users experiencing issues accessing internal or client-facing websites.

o   Assist in managing website user accounts, login permissions, and resolving front-end errors affecting end users.

o   Liaise with web developers or hosting providers for escalation when technical issues are beyond Tier 1 support scope

Requirement

  • At least one year in IT support, system administration OR NZQF level 5 or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing or related field
  • Understanding of networking protocols, VPNs, DNS, and firewalls
  • Familiarity with project management/ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Clickup)
  • Ability to script or automate tasks using tools such as Bash or PowerShell is a plus
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
