About Company:
Maxiom Management Limited is a well-established company specializing in construction consulting and project management. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team and support our finance department.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable

Prepare invoices, process payments, and reconcile bank statements

Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end reporting

Assist with tax filings (GST, PAYE, income tax return) and liaise with external accountants

Support payroll processing and employee expense claims
-
Assist with preparing financial reports and forecasted financial reports
-
Handle general administrative tasks related to finance and accounting
-
Dealing with taxation disputes, such as overdue payment and incorrect tax returns.

Liaising with stakeholders, mainly with clients, IRD authorities, and New Zealand Company Registration Office.
Requirements:

Master or above qualification in relevant field

At least two years proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is an advantage

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Good communication and organizational skills

- Number of positions for this job: 1
- Employment type: Permanent full time
- Days required and hours per week: 30 hours per week guaranteed, normally 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday
- Hourly rate: Between 24-27 per hour depending on work experience
