About the Company:

Oriental Works Limited owns one coffee shop and two gelato shops in Auckland. We are currently seeking a competent Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our three retail locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient business operations across all sites, maintaining high standards of customer service, and leading a team to deliver exceptional results.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

·       Oversee daily operations across all three stores to ensure consistency and efficiency.

·       Determine optimal product mix and stock levels appropriate to each shop's offering.

·       Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales, and financial transactions.

·       Ensure timely ordering and delivery of stock based on seasonal trends and customer demand.

·       Advise customers on coffee and gelato products, making recommendations based on preferences.

·       Ensure that all customer service standards are met or exceeded.

·       Implement and manage local marketing and promotional campaigns to attract customers.

·       Develop and execute advertising strategies across digital and in-store platforms.

·       Recruit, train, and supervise shop staff for all three locations.

·       Monitor and manage staff performance, schedules, and workload.

·       Undertaking budgeting and cost control for each location.

·       Set pricing strategies to optimise profitability.

·       Ensure that all shops operate in full compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.

·       Conduct regular safety checks and staff training on hygiene and safety protocols.

·       Manage budgets, accounts, payroll, and prepare financial reports

The minimum qualification and work experience requirements:

·       At least a relevant NZQF Diploma Level 5 qualification OR

·       At least three years of relevant work experience

·      Ability to manage and supervise staff

·      Knowledge of health and safety regulations

·      Excellent customer service skills

·      Customer-oriented mindset with a passion for food and beverage service.

·      Ability to manage budgets, inventory, and team performance.

·      Flexibility to travel between store locations and work weekends or holidays as needed.
