Carpenter

Steelspan supplies Steel Framed Kitset buildings anywhere in New Zealand or the
Pacific. With over 25 years of experience in the steel-framed building industry, we
design and supply our kitset buildings directly to customers.

We are looking for a commercial carpenter to join our team. To be successful in this
role, you need to have at least three years of relevant experience.

Job duties include:

• Reading plans, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications and
  requirements.
• Taking measurements and calculating the size and number of materials needed.
• Cutting, shaping, Steel, timber and other materials according to measurements.
• Building window frames, doors, staircases, and framing buildings by using raw
  materials or pre-constructed items.
• Inspecting and replacing damaged framework, other materials, and fixtures.
• Installing structures and fixtures such as windows, mouldings, and cabinets.
• Performing maintenance and repairs on existing structures (e.g., repairing roofs,
  floors, or stairs).

We will offer a minimum of 30 hours per week. The pay rate will be between $26 -
$32 per hour, depending on the applicant's existing skills and experience.
