About the role:
This is an opportunity to work on a vessel refurbishment project as part of our client's auditing team. This role would be perfect for someone with a background in process focused environments such as Power Plants or Mines to utilise their knowledge to ensure isolations and controls are in place and being followed for authorised work onboard large vessels.

- Review and audit JSA's to ensure sufficient controls are in place for ongoing and planned work.
- Witness and verify isolations.
- Participate in and co-ordinate emergency drills.
- Ensure all authorized work has completed paperwork and testing before commencing.
- Monitor ongoing work for any unforeseen risks or hazards.
Skills + Experience:
For this role you will need:
- A Trade Qualification in Marine or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years New Zealand industry work experience - in a marine or major hazards facility environment
- To be process driven
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work and move at pace in confined spaces
- A clean criminal record
- A competitive rate is offered for either PAYE or GST contractors
- Job specific training + PPE (excluding safety boots) will be provided
