Retail Store Manager – RASA LIMITED Trading as Challenge Omarama

Hours of Work: Minimum of 32-40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $32.00 per hour
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Store Manager to lead
the day-to-day operations of our busy Challenge Service Station and retail store in
Omarama, located in the scenic Otago region. This role offers the opportunity to manage a dynamic team in a fast-paced retail and fuel service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of the service station and convenience retail store.
• Lead, train, supervise and roster staff to ensure efficient operation and coverage.
• Manage stock levels and place supplier orders to ensure product availability.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints to maintain satisfaction.
• Monitor sales and implement strategies to achieve business performance targets.
• Ensure full compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company
policies.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organisation, and visual presentation.
• Prepare and present sales and performance reports to company management.
Skills, Experience & Job Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail or customer service roles.
• Knowledge of inventory control, stock ordering, and cash handling.
• Sound organisational and time management skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings,
and public holidays as required.
