This is an opportunity to join a company in a unique environment working on primarily marine projects as part of our client's well-organised Mechanical Fitting team. You will be working alongside other skilled tradesmen to undertake:
- MRO of Propulsion equipment such as gearboxes, bearings, shafting, propellers and more.
- Installation, repair and maintenance on Pumps, HVAC, Valves and Hydraulics.
- Disassembly, repair and rebuild of of main and auxiliary propulsion machinery and equipment.
- Conduct maintenance performance checks.
Skills + Experience:
For this role you will need:
- A Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
- At least 3 years New Zealand industry work experience - ideally in Marine or related environment
- Industrial rigging qualifications or experience
- Good knowledge of fitting and working to best practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work as part of a team, but also unsupervised
- A competitive rate is offered with an overtime rate and allowances
