Carnation Development Limited is a well-established residential property development company. Due to our business expansion, we are looking for excavator operators to join our friendly teams in Hamilton.

 

What you will do but not limited to the following:

 

  • Positions, operates, controls, monitors and adjusts heavy excavation plant to excavate, move and load earth, rock and rubble in a safe and efficient manner
  • Loads and unloads excavation plant with materials
  • Performs pre-start checks and routine maintenance on excavation plant
  • May perform manual excavation and shoveling as required

 

Suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Either have at least two years of relevant experience or NZQCF Level 4 qualification
  • Valid Class 2 - 5 Full New Zealand Drivers Licence with WTR endorsements
  • Good communication and professional skills
  • Punctual, honest, reliable and hardworking
  • Keen to work well within a team setting
  • Great attention to details

 

What we can offer:

 

  • Full time employment: we have worksites in Hamilton
  • Hourly rate: $30/hour gross - $35/hour gross
  • Hours of week per week: a minimum of 30 hours, no more than 45 hours per week depending upon site condition, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Over time maybe expected
