• Work Location: our main base is Tauranga; we also have work sites across the Bay of Plenty!
  • Hourly rate: $25-$35/hour, depending on your experience
  • Hours/week: 30-55 hours/week, depending on seasons

We are TGW Construction Limited, a specialist in Bricklaying and Painting. Due to business expansion, we are calling for bricklayers to join our team.

What will you do:

  • Analyzing and interpreting building plans.
  • Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required.
  • Measuring distance from reference points.
  • Calculating angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses.
  • Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level.
  • Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.
  • Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.
  • Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in the construction industry, specialising in block and bricklaying, is preferred.
  • Being patient and precise
  • Being thorough, with good attention to detail
  • Have thinking and reasoning skills
  • Able to work well under pressure.
