Senior Business Accountant (200k+ Package)

The Company  
Our client is a leading accounting, tax, and advisory service provider to small and medium-sized businesses in Sydney and across Australia. They have a large international client portfolio with a commercial focus towards clients, with client mentoring and support at the core of their business model.

The Position
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Accountant to join the team in their Sydney office. This is a senior leadership role and is ideally suited to someone already in a senior role who is looking to step up as a key advisor across the practice.

The Role
Key responsibilities:

• Report directly to the principal as the firm's 2IC
• Work on your own large client list with diverse requirements including business advice and tax compliance
• Support the principle by providing international written advice to clients utilising the OECD model convention and Australian residency-based provisions of the tax act
• Use your technical expertise in complex business groups
• Lead your team by managing workflow, reviewing work, providing support and training to junior members of the firm and driving the firm's process and procedures.

The Candidate 
Desirable skills or qualifications:

• Excellent collaborative communication skills with exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset that always looks to improve and find the best solutions even in the midst of the challenges of a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
• Ability to build and maintain valued relationships with your clients
• Comprehensive experience in business services accounting in Australia and be well rounded in Australian tax law
• CPA/CA qualification
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in business services
• International tax is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
• Unrestricted Australian working rights
• Dedication to taking on a key leadership role within the firm
