We are looking for multiple experienced butchers to join our team in Wellington region.
We cater to suit the requirements of our individual customers, including cutting, processing, labelling, packaging and branding.
The role's day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to:
- Selecting and preparing meat cuts based on orders
- Boning, trimming, cutting, mincing, grinding of meat products
- Mixing spices and rubs
- Marinating, seasoning and curing cuts if required
- Portion control and packaging
- Brining and injecting
- Preparing mince, patties, diced meat, corned beef, lamb shanks, ribs, steaks
- Operate machinery and be skilled at knife work
- Cooking meat products
- Assisting with menu planning if required
- Accurate labelling and retail-ready packaging
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment
- Assist with other duties as and when required
To qualify for this role, you need to have:
- At least 3-year experience in the industry
- Work as a team
- Excellent communication skills and can-do attitude
- Ability and fexibility on a rostered basis work, early & night shifts, as well as working throughout weekends and public holidays.
- Have your own transport to work, preferrably with a full driver's licence.
- Have NZ citizenship, residency or valid work visa.
For the right candidate, we offer an hourly rate from $30 - $40 per hour, depending on your experience with guarantteed 30 hours per week.
