Job Summary

Massage Therapists perform therapeutic massage techniques to enhance physical health and promote relaxation and well-being in clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing clients’ physical conditions and identifying areas of discomfort or tension.
  • Using a range of massage techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue
    massage, and sports massage to treat clients.
  • Applying pressure with hands, fingers, or specialized equipment to manipulate muscles
    and tissues.
  • Advising clients on posture, exercise, and relaxation techniques to improve overall
    health.
  • Maintaining detailed records of treatments provided to clients.
  • Referring clients to other health care professionals, if necessary.
  • Ensuring a clean and hygienic work environment, including sterilization of tools and
    equipment.
  • Following safety and health guidelines to prevent injuries and infections.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • Relevant NZQF Diploma
  • At least three years of working experience in relevant industry
  • Strong knowledge of physiology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to customize treatments based on individual client needs.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
