Capstan Construction Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Site Supervisor to support our construction team in the successful delivery of residential dwellings (1-3 stories) across Hellensville, Warkworth, North & West Auckland.

Job Title: Site Supervisor

ANZSCO Code: 312112 – Building Associate

Type of work: permanent full time

Hours: guaranteed minimum 30 hours/week, up to maximum 35 hours/week.

Salary range: $35 - $37 (depending on skills and experience) 

Work region: Auckland

Key Responsibilities:

·        Assisting the construction team with the day-to-day coordination and management of building projects

·        Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure effective communication and timely project delivery

·        Interpreting Building Consent plans, regulations and codes of practice

·        Revising plans and drawings, if needed, by coordinating with the consultants

·        Supervising and inspecting works and materials delivered at the site for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards

·        Coordinating work plans according to site requirements.

·        Monitoring site progress, and identifying any issues possibly delay project for further action

·        Performing measurements requested by Project manager for calculating cost, design adjustment and time scales

·        Ability to use Construction measuring tools (Inclinometers, Laser tape measure, Levelling, Moisture meters,…etc.) to collect data and preliminary site survey.

·        Maintaining site a clean, organized, and Site safety (ensuring site cleanliness and safety at all times)

·        Providing administrative support, including documentation filling (drawings, inspection record, heaps photos, checklist) and weekly report

·        Following up defect list and defect list rectifications before and after handover to clients

·        Ability to get hands-on with the tasks (if required)

·        Supporting construction teams to deliver dwellings at the highest standards of quality and safety

·        Collaborating with the wider team to continuously improve construction processes and practices

Requirements:

·        At least 3 years of experience as a Building Associate or in a related role such as site supervision, or construction management (residential in prefer), or a related field.

·        A relevant qualification such as a Diploma in Construction or a related discipline.

·        A valid Safety Card (Building Construction) and Basic Workplace First Aid certification are required.

·        Familiarity with construction industry software and tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Office, G-Suites)

·        Full and Clean New Zealander’s Driver License (required daily travel among job sites located in Hellensville, Warkworth, North & West Auckland)

·        Clear criminal record

·        Be able to work at weekend (in case emergency required)
