Transporter Driver

You will need previous experience as a transporter operator, this in not an entry level role. Experience operating all manner of machines to load on and off the transporter and a good knowledge of restraint systems and relevant laws are a necessity.
You may be required at times to do some digger work, or jump in a tipper truck to help out the team You must have a clean police check and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

What you will be doing:


 


* Transporting and restraining heavy machinery

* Operating in the metro area as well as regional

* Driving different classes of trucks dependent on client and job

* Operating under OH&S standards

* Heading to and from quarries




 


What you will bring to the table:
 


* NZ Citizenship or NZ Residency

* Road ranger experience

* BESS ticket

* Class 5 Licence with minimum 2 years experience

* Ability to self manage and plan efficient routes/deliveries

* Clean driving record

* Based in Christchurch or surrounds - only those already local will be considered, unless there are exceptional circumstances

* Excellent communication skills

* Good level of physical fitness

* Awareness of health and safety

* Can pass a pre-employment Drug Screening test

* A sense of humour never goes amiss
