We are looking for Experienced Structural Steel Fabricators to join our business, Extrastaff Limited. Our growing business requires an organised and trustworthy individual who pride themselves on quality workmanship. You will be motivated and result driven.

You may be asked to work across 6 regions to assist our projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred. 



The Experienced Structural Steel Fabricator is responsible for:

Interpret and follow engineering plans, blueprints and technical drawings

Assemble steel structures and secure them using bolts, rivets or welding

*


Install structural steel components at construction sites

*


Cut, shape and weld steel materials to required specifications by using machine or hand tools

*


Inspect and maintain equipment and tools for safe and effective operation

*


Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards

*


Collaborate with engineers, crane operators, riggers and other tradespeople on site

*


Perform repairs or modifications to existing steel structures when necessary

*


Work independently or as part of a small team




Skills and experience required:


*


2 years' work experience in steel fixing, welding, fabrication or related occupations is preferred

*


Friendly and excellent work ethic are essential

*


Time management skills

*


A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry

*


Sound knowledge of H&S procedures

*


Reliable and hardworking

*


Must be able to pass Criminal Check and Drug Test




Pay Conditions Min $26.00 per hour to a maximum of $40.00 per hour


Hours of work Minimum 30 hours of work is guaranteed


Location


You will primarily be required to work across Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.
